Ritrovata nel ‘bric-a-brac’ dei ritagli perduti quella lettera inviata allo ‘Specchio dei Tempi’ de La Stampa, all’attenzione dell’indimenticabile fondatore e direttore di Linus O.d.B. al secolo Oreste del Buono non fa solo affettuosamente sorridere per nostalgia ma invero riflettere sul solito e ormai trito giochino, un pò per scemi un pò per finti tonti, messo in scena da qualunque o chiunque prenda comando, potere, e governo che dir si voglia, sul soggetto sempiterno del Ponte sullo Stretto. Ponte che in quella bella pagina, da noi ribattuta e ripubblicata, a sola gloria degli estensori, su quelle due colonne, con maggior rigore di storicità, evidentemente molto più fondata degli immaginari piloni da costruire nelle acque joniche, veniva correttamente denominato ‘Ponte di Messina’, che era stato già ribattezzato con il nuovo nome di Ponte Italia. Cosa scriveva, in buona sostanza, il signor Lino Franchino di Torino, alla Posta de La Stampa e cosa si concludeva ne ‘La Risposta di O.d.B.’? Presto detto: per costruire l’avveniristica opera pubblica bisognava semplicemente che ogni italiano facesse obolo, o come si direbbe oggi partecipasse a un ‘crowdfunding’, di sole ‘Diecimila lire a testa per il ponte infinito’. Tutto come in un Gioco dell’Oca, con tanto di caselle per tornare indietro, dove se fai due passi avanti (alla casella 6 ‘il ponte’ si paga la posta e si ripete il movimento come nelle caselle con le oche), a cui non si è, ovvero non ha potuto, sottrarsi neanche Matteo Renzi, con la sua ennesima, roboante quanto malamente assertiva, dichiarazione di realizzare al più presto, l’attraversamento ingegneristico tanto agognato e atteso da svariati lustri. Può anche essere che in una politica come quella attuale, in cui scarseggiano risorse ideali e visioni prospettiche, si è costretti ad attingere alla famosa immagine delle ‘convergenze parallele’. E, infatti, ecco che in vista del prossimo Referendum il premier Renzi sembra non a caso rispolverare l'arrugginito mito futuribile ed effimero del 'Ponte Stretto', anche in analogia e sovrapposizione onirica con il grande cambiamento dell’ingegneria costituzionale che promette a gran voce insieme ai suoi tanti Signori del Si in giro per l’Italia. Di certo resta il rischio che dopo i ripetuti No ricevuti dal Ponte, almeno a stare ai si dice che si sentono in giro, apparirebbe improbabile, anche ai sondaggisti, che il farraginoso ponte che s'intende gettare tra una vecchia e una nuova Costituzione a trazione renziana, possa guadagnarsi un facile quanto fulmineo passaggio. Semmai potrebbe fare un passo, un passo dell'oca, lento, cadenzato. Lo stesso che al momento di posare contemporaneamente lo stivale sulla punta dello Stretto e stravolgere la Costituzione Italiana, potrebbe anche produrre il caratteristico e forte rumore di una storica e rovinosa caduta del Governo Renzi.

EGR. Sig.Oreste del Buono, vorrei esporle una mia idea, forse bislacca, riguardante il ponte sullo stretto di Messina. Ricordo che parecchi anni fa venne trasmesso in tv un interessante documentario sull’Olanda, in cui si dimostrava comne avessero rubato al mare vasti appezzamenti di terreno ( l’ultimo dei quali era grande come la provincia di Milano). Non si potrebbe fare la stessa cosa in Italia avanzando le sponde sia dall’Isola che dal Continente, riducendo in tal modo notevolmente la distanza? Il ponte potrebbe avere dimensioni molto monori. Se poi ogni abitante del Bel Paese si tassase volontariamente di Lire 10.000 anche la spesa per la costruzione del Ponte Italia avrebbe un certo margine di respiro e sarebbe veramente un esempio di solidarietà. GENTILE corrispondente, le chiedo scusa, apprezzo i suoi suggerimenti ma mi auguro ch qualcuno lo realizzi davvero, il ponte sullo stretto di Messina. Personalmente ne sento discutere da oltre mezzo secolo, e sono un poco stanco. Oreste del Buono
